Casa Niki is an ideal base for couples or small families visiting Tuscany, who are looking for home comforts rather than living out of a suitcase: A village house in a picturesque setting near Camaiore, overlooking the bay of La Spezia. Access from Pisa (40 min), Florence (50 min) or Milan airports (3.5 hours).
The property is in a tranquil hilltop village just south of Camaiore, but is only 40 minutes from Pisa airport (with connections through Rome, Paris, Frankfurt or Munich to US destinations). It has wonderful views over the Mediterranean coast and Apuan Alps. The house comfortably sleeps up to 5 in 3 bedrooms (2 doubles, one single), and has 2 full baths (including shower/bath on upper level, shower lower level), a fully equipped modern designer kitchen with dining area (appliances include W/TV/CD player/fridge freezer/DW/gas stove/electric oven), laundry room, living room with open fireplace and plenty of books, a paved terrace along the entire western side of the house to watch the sunsets, and a private terraced garden with fruit, fig, bay and olive trees. Floors are antiqued terracotta tile, rooms are light and breezy with great views from all bedrooms.
This is a great base for exploring the coast, mountains and cultural icons of Renaissance art. Only 15 minutes drive to the Italian Riviera (Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Forte dei Marmi) with its miles of beaches, just forty minutes to Lucca, an hour and fifteen minutes to Florence. Only 25 minutes to Lago Massaciuccoli and the Puccini opera festival, 20 minutes to Pietrasanta. Also a great base for exploring the Apuan Alps and Garfagnana, and Cinque Terre towns in nearby Liguria. Close to Torre del Lago and the summer Puccini festival, artists' colony in nearby Pietrasanta.
Available for short term rentals, one week minimum. All linens, towels are included, kitchen fully equipped, and stocked with basic supplies.
